Without rules there is no order, that being said here are the laws of the site that we hope you will read and take with a great deal of consideration as you spend your time here with us.
General
* MINIMUM/LIMITATIONS FOR POSTING: All I ask in regards to this is that you make an attempt for at least 200 words. In comparison to the typical count this is actually rather low. This rule is here to make sure that there is always something for your fellow role player to work with!
* GRAMMAR USAGE!!! : This one is self-explanatory, make proper sentences and don’t use text talk in a post, that’s all I ask.
* DETAILS: When you post, it’d be best if you included details, like, a direction you’re walking in, or something along the lines of literature you’d find in a book. You do not have to live up to the standards of others, just give it your best and you’ll be fine. :)
* POSTING DEADLINES: On average you should be able to shovel out at least 1 post a week. If you have an idea that you may be gone just take it up with the admin. If something happens and you have no way of letting someone know, you can explain when you come back to us!
*ICONS/SIGNATURES: To keep people from stretching out the board or having multiple signatures, we ask that ALL icons are only 100x100 pixels and signatures be at the MOST 300x500 pixels. You may have them smaller. Only one signature OR you can just put words, but do NOT put a signature and then quote or anything under it.
*POWER PLAYING: Unless you are God you cannot control another character or any of the monsters.
*NOTE: There is no board to copy the code to fill out the application. When you create a thread in the Applications/Tryouts area it will automatically have all the information laid out for you. Just fill in the blanks.
Members
* MEMBER RESPECT: Be nice to every member, if a conflict is started then you must see an Administrator or a Moderator about this, because if there is a good relationship among members then the Role-playing will become less stressful and everyone can post knowing that they won’t be discriminated for it. Don’t talk about other people’s faults or flaws, because everyone has them. Just encourage people and give them advice when they require it. Have fun; just don’t push it.
* OVERLOAD/STRESS: If you are every caving into peer pressure, having a stressful time in your life, or just can’t keep up and maybe just have a writer’s block, then you’re welcome to leave it in the absence section or discuss it with an Admin. Just make sure someone knows before you leave. If you go 3 weeks without stopping in and no word of absence your account will be deleted.
*ACCOUNTS: A person is allowed to have two accounts. If a third one is desired you must contact an admin. ((Note: IP addresses will be checked under suspicion of someone trying to fudge their way around this rule by means of two separate e-mails, ect.))
Character Rules
* CHARACTER TRYOUTS: In the application section just fill out the required information as it is requested. Once accepted you may begin role playing!
*FACE CLAIMS: There are to be NO Anime face claims! If you have trouble finding a real life claim consult one of the staff or another member for help!
*IN CHARACTER: All we have to say about this is, if you try out for a role, make sure you keep in that character when posting. Unless of course you’re in the alternate reality, then you can be who you want to be.
*PERSONALITY: Please be unique. Do not go around saying that you have the worst life in the world and all these terrible things have happened to you because you will either annoy other members or bore them. Also no one is perfect either but that shouldn't be a problem. Just in case though, you are not a pretty princess.
*HARD HATS: The only way you can become a Hard Hat is if one of the administrators contact you and ask if you would be interested in taking upon the roll. However, if you do not feel comfortable with the job, you do not have to take this role. This is mainly for the fact the reason that both admin's want to know your dedication to the site and see your skills in stepping into an unusual character like this. Another account and tryout would be required for this role.
*LAB COATS: For the most part it is the same as the Hard Hats where an administrator will contact you and ask if you would be willing to take on the role. This is a big responsibility so do not take advantage of it. This role may also come with a place within the staff positions so it is very important. Also, Lab Coats are bad guys so do not say that you are a double agent and you are working for the good of man kind. This is not a role to be abused.
NOTE: Lab Coats can and will interfere in threads if you are caught alone and kill the thread then and there. You will most likely be taken to Lab 9 and when here you can NOT post in any other thread/call for help until/if you are released.
*ZOMBIES/MONSTERS: Only staff members can be zombies or monsters so do not bother requesting for this position. You can die if you are seen alone or are noticed that you are being careless.
*DEATH: If you die and are incapable of purchasing a revival, you can always post in the Cemetery as a Ghost or Past Board in the Other category. Build up points and join the living.
*STEALING: Just as before the end of humanity, it is still frowned upon to steal from other people. Do NOT steal other people's purchased items. Vacant homes and stores are up for grabs.
Store
* BEGINNING: There is a store where you can purchase items such as weapons, rooms to sleep, transportation, etc. To purchase these items you use points which are gained with every post that you make. Both admins have agreed that the prices are completely fair since protection and shelter are technically already supplied when you join at the Inn. This means that when you join the site you do not have a vast array of artillery weapons that only the United States military would have. IF you ask, you can possibly come in with one small weapon and you must post in the Character Possessions board what it is. (Please do not go until after you finish reading the rules.)
*SELLING: If you have previously purchased something and no longer want it, you CANNOT sell it to another member! However we will be fair and allow you to send a message to either Admin and you can receive 50% of your money back.
*CAN I HAVE MY OWN STORE?: Unless you are a staff member or asked by one of the Admin's to start a store, then no. Having more than the two that are already there would become too much and unnecessary.
AMENDMENTS: The rules may change as time goes on so check back often!
